Getting Started
How do I create my first solar project?
After signing in, click 'New Project' in the sidebar. Add the customer, system size, panel layout and pricing. Solar CRM auto-generates a professional quote PDF in seconds.
Can I import my existing customer data?
Yes — Solar CRM supports CSV import for contacts, leads, and projects. Go to Settings → Import Data and follow the step-by-step wizard.
Is there a free trial?
Every new account gets a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required to start.
How do I add team members?
Navigate to Settings → Team → Invite Members. Enter their email, assign a role (Admin, Sales Rep, Installer, Viewer), and send the invite.
Billing & Plans
How does billing work?
Plans are billed monthly or annually. Annual billing saves you 20%. You'll be charged on the same date each cycle.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes, you can change plans at any time from Settings → Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades at the next cycle.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on annual plans. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time — no refund for the current month.
CRM & Pipeline
How do I customise the pipeline stages?
Go to Settings → Pipeline → Stages. Drag to reorder, click to rename, or add custom stages tailored to your sales process.
Can I assign leads to specific reps?
Yes. Open any lead or project and use the 'Assigned To' dropdown. You can also set auto-assignment rules based on territory or round-robin.
How do reminders and follow-ups work?
Set a follow-up date on any lead. Solar CRM will send you an in-app notification and email reminder 24 hours before and on the due date.
Integrations
Which payment gateways do you support?
Solar CRM integrates with Stripe, Razorpay, and PayU for online payments. You can also record offline cheque/bank-transfer payments manually.
Does Solar CRM integrate with Google Calendar?
Yes. Connect your Google or Outlook calendar under Settings → Integrations. Appointments, site visits, and installs sync both ways.
Is there a public API?
Yes — Solar CRM offers a RESTful API with webhook support. Visit /docs/api for the full reference, SDKs, and Postman collection.
Security
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored on AWS servers in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region, with daily encrypted backups retained for 30 days.
How is my data protected?
We enforce encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, and each company's data is isolated. We don't sell your data or use it to train third-party models.
Can I export all my data?
Yes. Go to Settings → Export Data to download a full CSV/JSON export of all your leads, projects, customers, and documents at any time.
